FAQs
Common questions.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Comfortable clothes are fine. If you have a recent ultrasound, scan or specialist letter, bring it.
Can I bring my baby?
+
Absolutely. We have space for prams and are happy to pause the session if you need to feed.
Do I need a referral for a pessary fitting?
+
No referral needed. We do recommend an initial appointment first so we can assess prolapse type and grade, and discuss whether a pessary is the right option for you.
Will I need an internal examination?
+
It's the most accurate way to assess pelvic floor function, but it's never required. We can run a meaningful first appointment with external assessment or symptom-based questionnaires if you prefer.
Can I claim through my health fund?
+
Yes. Pelvic floor physio is claimable through every major health fund. We're HCF preferred provider and Medibank preferred for physio, with HICAPS available for everyone else.
